As it is getting more years since I started to live in Seoul, my footage towards out of Gongneung has been decreased. I am from Changwon, which is located near Busan. It takes me 4 hours from Seoul by bus. It was 2008 that I began to live in Gongneung. Seoul was my dream, and its population is much more than Changwon has. I enjoyed going out in freshman even alone. However, it's been 4 years living in Seoul. I sometimes go out of Gongneung. I've got 7 places I like to go generally: Home, Jungrang stream, Tree day, Jijimy, Hollys cafe, Regent Park, and stationary shops. Let me introduce them to you with two type of categories.
I classified the places in the chronological order, from the oldest to the newest I knew. Jijimy, a franchise fusion pub, in Changwon is the oldest place I like to go. One of my old highschool friends used to work there, so we often visited there, and drank a lot. The side dishes are good, and the owner was kind that she gave some dishes for free. That can be the biggest reason why we always went there to drink. The dishes were surely great. After I became a university student in 2008, we started to go drink in Jijimy. We still visit there, but since she quit her part time job, the frequency has been reduced. Near our school, there is one, but I don't go there because the tasty of my favourite dish, seafood jjambbong-tang, isn't like there. The second oldest place is Holly cafe in Changwon. My house is very close from the main street if Changwon, and my best high school friends and I lived near the downtown. We sometimes met in Hollys cafe, and had a cup of coffee in the morning. Whenever we wanted to do something, but nothing to do specially, we would go to Hollys and chat a lot. Unfortunately, my chances to go to Changwon isn't as many as in freshman, so I haven't been in Hollys for ages. The third oldest is Kyobo bookstore. It wasn't in Changwon until 2007. I go to Kyobo to see the stationary, not to see books. I have a great interest on stationary, so I still go and look around which one is new, and buy if it attracts me a lot in my spare time. The fourth is Jungrang stream. When I was sophomore, my boyfriend brought me to Jungrang stream riding a bike. We got to Hanyang Uni. from Seokgye by bicycle. It was my first time to go along the stream. After I knew the way to get to the stream, I often go and walk along in the evening. The fifth oldest is my home. I moved in the current house in 2009. It's the second rental house in Seoul. I lived a smaller room alone in freshman, but my sister also came to Seoul to go to Uni., we needed a bigger room. I met my room in 2009. The sixth oldest is Regent park in London. When I was in London, I would go to the park alone, and enjoyed the sunshine. It was absolutely fine to stroll the paths in the park. I miss the lake, paths, running people, ducks, trees, trash cans, and everything in the park very much. Finally, the newest place is Tree day. It's a wine bar located in Hyehwa. One of my best friends in school and I went there to have some wine. She found several wine bars, but we chose here. It's small bar, but the owner makes cheese with her hands. The candle light adds more romantic atmosphere. The price may not be so reasonable to us, so we decided to go there once a three months. I can guarantee the taste even though I've tasted one bottle of wine there.
The second category is the frequency. Of course, the highest frequency is going home. The second highest is going to Jungrang stream to work out with a friend of mine. The third is visiting stationary shops. Jijimy is the fourth, Regent park is the fifth, Hollys cafe in Changwon is the sixth, and the last is Tree day, a wine bar. I guess the times to go to Regent park is more than to Hollys cafe. I just visited Tree day at once, so it's the least frequency place.
